About San Francisco Temporary Power
Who We Are
San Francisco Temporary Power is an electrical contractor that puts working power on construction sites in the city and on the Peninsula. We set and permit temp poles, and we rent the generators, lighting, cooling, cameras and internet that a site needs around them.
What We Do Every Day
Most mornings start with permits. We file electrical permits with DBI and the Peninsula building divisions, submit the PG&E service request, and track both until the meter is released. Then a crew sets the pole, drives the rods, wires the panel and meets the inspector. Our temporary power pole installs are still the core of the business, and the other five services grew out of what those same customers kept asking for.
The People Doing the Work
A licensed electrician supervises every install. Our project managers have worked in the field, so the dates they give you come from jobs they have run themselves. They know that a SoMa alley leaves no room to stage a truck, that summer fog leaves in-use covers dripping, and that a steep Daly City driveway changes where the pole can go. If you want to see how the pieces fit together, our overview of temp power and rentals lays out all six services.
Who Hires Us
General contractors, developers, electrical subcontractors, facility managers and homeowners running a large remodel. Facility teams at lab and office buildings often call for standby generator rentals during planned shutdowns. Crews finishing interiors inside a sealed new shell ask about portable cooling for electrical rooms. We send insurance certificates and license details before the first truck rolls.
How We Price a Job
We walk the site, look at where PG&E can reach, and ask what you plan to run. Then we write one fixed price that covers the permit, the install, inspection and removal, with monthly rental listed on its own line. Utility fees come from PG&E directly and we tell you that up front.
